Lower abdominal pain/uterine pain? ?

I’ve been having lower abdominal pain, primarily on the lower left side for over a week now. It got so bad that I was at the ER two nights ago. Diagnosis: ruptured ovarian cyst.

Went to ER again last night with nausea. New doctor said that my ultrasound was normal and that he didn’t think my pain was from ovarian cysts. They sent me home with nausea meds and no diagnosis.

Can anyone help? I am going to get a referral to the Mayo, but for now…does anyone have a clue?

Normal Transvaginal and Abdominal Utrlasound
Negative Pregnancy test (although I feel it is too early to test, and I may be pregnant)
Normal Blood Counts

The pain has lightened up, but my cervix is so sore that *** is too painful. My lower abdomen is tender all the way across. My ******* are very tender. Could be PMS.

Anyone with any experience? Ideas?
My GYN thought it was a ruptured cysts as well…this was 2 days prior to ER visit. I just don’t understand why I was given a diagnosis when there aren’t any objective measures (i.e. blood work, ultrasound) to provide a correct diagnosis…
Just to add I am only 21. Also, there weren’t any infections in my urine.

You might just be ovulating. Sometimes ovulation can cause pain. The good news? You only ovulate a few days each month, so shortly it could go away (if that’s the problem).

The best thing for you to do is go to your doctor, not the ER. You need to be seen by your own OBGYN, who knows you. You should call and schedule an appointment - ask for extra time to set and talk with your doctor.

    Good luck.

If you have had a past with lots of ovarian cysts, you may be experiencing endrometriosis. A ruptured ovarian cyst can take a few days to “settle down” and feel better. When it ruptured, it released a lot of poison’s into your system.
    Please…see your doctor asap!

    Hello There,
I’m sorry to hear about your problem. Unfortunately, I cannot make a diagnosis directly from what you have said; as I would need to perform an examination and carry out some tests. However, I would not rule not many things at this stage - anything from a Urine Infection, Sexual Transmitted Disease, Menopause, Hernia….unfortunatly, I cant tell without seeing myself. I would recommend visiting your general practictioner.
