What is wrong when you get a very high cramp, in your ribs, on the left side while running? What can I do?

What I would suggest is ask a sports trainer. There is one at this site who can help, who ran CC in college.

Without getting technical, it means you have overdone the exercise. Stop and rest and slow down. Google “anatomy and physiology, mariab.

Just slow down a little. It’s just lactic acid building up. A stretch that I do is that I stand with my legs crossed and my arm over my head. I lean to the opposite side of where it hurts. It works.

If it’s right under your ribs, then just push your thumb into the painful spot and in seconds it will be gone. This is for as your running in the race.
