What is wrong when you get a very high cramp, in your ribs, on the left side while running? What can I do?

Iv had a pain in the left side of my chest, sort of on my ribs but it feels like its stabbing me in the heart for the past 2 weeks now after a nite out drinking. It hurts more if im lying down and doesnt seem to go away with painkillers. I work in a hospital and my ECG is fine but my lung function tests are- Spirometry normal but gas diffusion is only 59% of my predicted value.(sometimes 60) Im 21 and of normal height and weight.

I have had this pressure sensation under my left ribs, not behind them but under them… since the middle of July. Sometimes there are sharp stabbing pains and I just developed a new symptom and I had a burning feeling. now Im with out a period since we lost the baby on September 20. Does anyone know what this could be? Has anyone had this before?

For about a year now I have suffered from lower abdominal, and upper abdominal pain.
I had always had an uncomfortable feeling under my left/right ribs and in the middle of my chest/stomach area. After many doctor visits, and MANY tests, they discovered my gall bladder had quit working. The Doctor said that is what was causing all of my pain.
I then had my gall bladder removed. While they were in there, they found that I had a ’small, and not serious’ uterus infection. I’m currently on antibiotics and treatments for that.
The pain in the lower abdominal area isn’t as bad. Still there, but slowly getting better.
I have noticed now that the pain under my left rib has came back. It’s been almost a month since my surgery. When I went for the follow up, with the surgeon, he asked how I was feeling and I told him fine. Then, a day or two later, it flared up.
I have been getting symptoms as if my gall bladder was still there. I’ve been belching quite a bit. I’ve been experiencing the discomfort between my ribs/top stomach area, and a nagging pain in the left side, under my rib. (Same spot it was in due to gall bladder issues)
I can’t understand why these pains have come back? Is it the foods I have been eating? I really haven’t watched my diet, and I’ve been drinking a lot of Orange Juice (Which, I do have acid reflux disease), and I’ve been eating things such as pizza, chinese, etc.
Do you think it’s my diet causing these pains?

What can cause sharp pain in my ribs? Im 7 months pregnant today and have been having sharp pains on the left side of my ribs.Its not my son because hes down low and ive felt him recently and was still low.I dont think its heart burn because its lower like right above my stomach but in my ribs.What can cause this and anyone else felt this?

i have been unable to have a bowel movement since nov 07 without the use of lax. so i go once a week. have had many tests and dr cant find anything. NOW for past week im having sharp pain in my upper left side at my ribs stomach area. any ideas? i can push in and find the exact spot of pain, it also radiates to my shoulder when i breath in too deeply. My dr has no suggestions other than stool softners.. im at my wits end!

i have been having these sharp pains onmy left side. between my ribs and hip bone. It only hurts when i bend or move around.

Three days ago i was tackled by a buddy and had the wind knockd out of me. Since this I have had a pain in my lower back on the left side near my rib. I can only feel it when i move around and when im laying on it. Does anyone have any idea what this may be. I have been stuck at work and have not been able to get to the doctors to get an x-ray. Im going on a golf trip next week and I just want to be able to swing a club. Any idea what may be wrong?

For the last day and a half i have been going to the bathroom 2-3 times a hour and not within the last 5 hours i have developed this very painful left side from under the back side of my ribs to my waist. I am also sick to my stomach. Anyone else been through this and was it anything major?
yeah i going to the er as soon as hubby gets home since i am in the pain i am in, hoping for good news
